I am totally ecstatic to launch FaithBarista
a blog that serves up shots of faith for everyday life.
I just put the finishing touches on my blog, and I’m officially live out here in the blogsphere!
Hi Everybody, allow me to introduce myself..
I’m Bonnie Gray and I’m an everyday Christian looking to live a life of faith.
I’ve always been fascinated with the challenge of keeping faith hot and fresh in the daily grind. I write at Faith Barista to share my faith experience with God and in the process, find others to learn about theirs.
Being an everyday Christian isn’t so easy because there is so much stuff that gets in the way of trusting God and being true to who He’s designed me to be.
As I walk through the daily life, the world calls me to be focused on the outer walk, with everything that surrounds me.
But the inner life is where real life happens. It’s where God calls me to be and faith can get me there.
As I sift through my thoughts, the Bible, conversations or happenings around me, God whips up drinks of inspiration and encouragement to draw me closer to Him each and every day.
Are you also after that hypnotic aroma of Christ in your daily cup? If so, there’s always a chair here with your name on it. Stay and comment awhile, won’t you?
Together, we can get a taste of seeing Christ show up in our lives. Man, that would be the best.
Why Faith Barista?
This site is dedicated to collecting the rich blends of encouragement that we receive from The Ultimate Faith Barista, Jesus Christ Himself, sharing our faith journeys, and refreshing eachother’s cup, one comment at a time.
What you will find at Faith Barista: A variety of spiritual reflections, personal stories, commentary on pop culture, devotional articles, and Christian living tips to stimulate a faith-filled walk in everyday life.

Love it Bonnie! Great idea!
I was just telling Paul a few hours ago how I (and we all) really need a community where we can hear every day how people are trying to live by faith-daily- instead of how the world tells us (work hard- life is good- life works – or it can work if YOU just try hard enough) .
It’s super hard to do! When the house is a mess and there are a million things to do. So thanks. Faith Barista is a great idea!
@rachel: “(we) really need a community where we can hear every day how people are trying to live by faith-daily- instead of how the world tells us (work hard- life is good- life works – or it can work if YOU just try hard enough)”
EXACTLY! So cool to meet another faith barista! Yeah, trying harder isn’t gonna cut it. Been there.. done that.. and still falling into doing that! 😉 Thank God I can turn to other’s faith walk, to remind me to just *stop* and have a “faith break”.
Bonnie- I have been following your blog for the past two years. I can’t thank you enough for your vulnerability and courage…. I’m reading your blog from start to finish. And will most likely begin again when I finish! I know that this journey has been hard and you have doubted how much to share to this community and the world. Again, thank you for stepping forward and allowing us “in”. elp
Bonnie, for the life of me, I cannot figure out how I’m just now being connected with you, but let’s just call it God’s timing. 🙂 He has been calling me to rest for 10 years now and I’ve been saying I’m doing it but really in no sense have I been in the way and matter He wants me to be. I battle chronic stress, and a chronic health illness and often times, I just let it get the best of me. But I stumbled upon Ann Voscamp’s blog last year and her wonderful book and since then I’ve been seeking simplicity in my life and for the past two and half months been seeking out the rest that He is wanting me to join Him in……I recently purchased your book and have invited a friend to sit with me weekly on her porch to go through it and write our thoughts down. So grateful for you…..that you would share your story so that others may be inspired and encouraged to share theirs.
I am a sister faith barista. I tried to have a barista themed blog once and it just didn’t work out for me but I would much rather read yours!! So, like Erica, I too, have came to the beginning and I’m reading through your blog from day one. No doubt I will be caught up in just a few days. But I just can’t put your writing down. You speak to my heart and my spirit. Thank you so much for this place. Thanks for the invitation of a comfy place to sit and just have a hot cup of java and a shot of faith. Sure is enriching to my soul right now at this season in my life.
Kindred Sister,
LOLO
Hi LOLO, thanks for sharing your story and taking the time to hang out here and enjoy a cup of soul coffee together. Would love to hear how it goes with your friend as you read together. I hope it brings you two closer to each other and to God and journey into creating some new whitespace in your lives.
