The desire for life to continually be new doesn’t wane with age. Love will not allow this longing to be beaten into submission.

Title: Born Again
From the outside, this week has rolled by without apparent change to this world of mine. Like most everybody, I put in an honest day’s work, cook the same dinners, and pull the covers up close to me at night, wishing for more hours in a day.
On the inside, however, I am being changed everyday. I am never but a breath away from the beginning depicted in the first set of lyrics in today’s song by the Christian rock band, Third Day, Born Again.
Today I found myself
After searching all these years
And the man that I saw, he wasn’t at all who I thought he’d be
I was lost when you found me here
And I was broken beyond repair
Then you came along and you sang your song over me
This song is about experiencing life again for the first time.
The daily grind, with it’s steady trickle of demands, creates a slow, quiet stampede on our desire to be new. But life, as God intended, was made to be experienced through a growing passion for more.
Our hearts cannot be fooled. Love will not allow this longing to be beaten into submission.
God’s love won’t be satisfied living small. It cannot be contained. It presses to expand.
We can surrender ourselves to God continually. To feel born. For the first time.
Third Day’s voice is passionate, delivered in a beautiful duet. The melody is simply perfection married to the lyrics.
May this song blow the windows of your soul open and fill it with everything that makes you feel young again with God’s love.
Happy Friday! Enjoy.
How do you like your smoothie today?
Lyrics to Born Again - By Third Day
Today I found myself
After searching all these years
And the man that I saw, he wasn't at all who I thought he'd be
I was lost when you found me here
And I was broken beyond repair
Then you came along and you sang your song over me
It feels like I'm born again
It feels like I'm living
For the very first time
For the very first time
In my life
Make a promise to me now
Reassure my heart somehow
That the love that I feel is so much more real than anything
I've a feeling in my soul
And I pray that I'm not wrong
That the life I have now, it is only the beginning
It feels like I'm born again
It feels like I'm living
For the very first time
For the very first time
It feels like I'm breathing
It feels like I'm moving
For the very first time
For the very first time
I wasn't looking for something that was more
Than what I had yesterday
Then you came to me and you gave to me
Life and a love that I've never known
That I've never felt before
It feels like I'm born again
It feels like I'm living
For the very first time
I'm living for the first time
It feels like I'm breathing
It feels like I'm moving
For the very first time
I'm living for the first time
In my life
