Dear Faith Barista friends,
It is Christmas. And my heart is gathering.
To learn, laugh, and live — in this inner place where life and faith intersect.
In my journey to follow the Star, it has led me to you.
I don’t believe in coincidence, even here across digital bytes.
Thank you for the gift of your words. In the exchange of a comment, tweet, email — or silent companionship — we have shared the days together. How wonderful to find our paths cross this sweet December day.
My wish for you this Merry Christmas is the best of whatever is to come, to you and those you love. With warmest of blessings, I share a poem with you this Christmas night.
Christmas Carries
Like the Rose of Sharon, overwintering in the snow
You bury December deep, with a promise of spring, beyond the unknown
When the heart softens to exhale
When one wakes up to dream again
Christmas carries —
Light, bring me closer
Hope, lift me to remember
You came. You were here.
Breathing as I am,
Heart beating, thoughts filling, body tiring.
Christmas carries —
Bringing peace that was so quiet, then
I come now, arms reaching, now
You come. You are here.
Carry me to the joy of good to come
Past the trials, beyond the clouds, the certainty I seek.
It is You.
The hope, the love, the joy, and the peace.
It is You.
Christmas carries. Christmas carries.
“Mary said, “My soul exalts the Lord. And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior…
For He has had regard for the humble state of His servant…
For the Mighty One has done great things for me. ” Luke 1:46-49

CHRISTmas carries through the rest of the year. Carries the cross through the valley of the shadow of death, carries the prayers through Gethsemane, through the joys of birth, the pain of death, Christmas carries us home.
God Bless you forever Faith B.
God bless you, Doug! Thank you for leaving a beautiful comment — great line, true and through.

Merry Christmas, Mo. Hope your Christmas was full of the beauty in your writing.
Merry Christmas, Bonnie — and thanks for your posts here. You may think of it as a blog but it’s more like a ministry of enouragement.
Thank you, Glynn for that encouragement. You’ve blessed me, as you’ve done this year!
A very Merry Christmas to you Bonnie. I’m glad to have “met” you this year. You have been a blessing.
Thanks, Kathy! I hope you had a Merry one, too- thanks for bringing joy throughout the year.
What a beautiful reminder of our Shepherd tending His flock.
His arms are strong.
I love how you keep Christ at the center of your CHRISTmas! I’ve enjoyed beginning to get to know you through your writings. And I can say that I’m loving it. Keep it up as you have a gift of words to share.
