I don’t want to live my old story anymore.
The story written by surviving stress and doing the best I can.
I want to live a new story Jesus has longing for me to experience.
The life I always tried to engineer for myself is giving way to the life Jesus is inviting me to live: a life of rest.
I want to live a better story — this story of rest. Will you join me?
It’s finally happening friends! This week on Tuesday 6/3/14, I’m launching my new memoir-driven guidebook Finding Spiritual Whitespace: Awakening Your Soul To Rest.
To celebrate the birth of my new book, I’m inviting you to join me on a 21 Day of Rest Blog Tour — a devotional series to live a better story of rest.
Not tomorrow.
Not later.
Right now.
As is.
21 Days: Creative prompts to rest each day
Every day, for 21 days, I am serving up soulful prompts to rest — inspired by the stories told in my book Finding Spiritual Whitespace: Awakening Your Soul To Rest—
~ Soulful words to inspire rest {quotes from the book to enjoy}
~ A restful scripture to savor {words to feed your soul}
~ A #SpiritualWhitespace Challenge {prompts for you to experience rest}
Savor each prompt. Open your heart.
Share this post to your friends, so they can try the prompts with you too.
Take the journey to uncover a better story of rest with me.

Let’s become God’s story of rest.
Let’s {confide} in Him.
And take the journey to rest.

Hi Bonnie,
I’m 50 pages into your book and already finding so much that resonates with me. Thank you for the opportunity to journey with you.
Blessings
Ann
so special to meet between the pages of this book, Ann. journeying together.
My dear sister (actually~you’re more like a daughter, as I’m 58!) Your timing is just perfect for what I’m going thru~and I wish so much that I had your wisdom when I was younger! Today, June 1st, 2014, I’m renewing my New Year’s resolution (which I began last Nov/Dec) to become a more positive person, STOP complaining so much, and confide mainly in our Lord and a very few close friends/family who can handle it. (We all need SOME earthly people we can unload on now and then!) Please pray for me to stay strong, and grow stronger in Him day by day. I struggle with severe chronic depression, BiPolar II which makes it real hard to restrain my words, as I become verbally hyperactive and tend to blurt everything out without much of any discretion when I’m going thru a spell. I LOVE U dearly! Your blogs are such a wonderful inspiration to me!
we all need company on this journey of life. this is beautiful and true that makes us real. thnx for sharing MK.
God gave me a word for 2014…one word, Rest. Looking forward to the journey.
what a great word, Barbara! 😉
Love your book and I look forward to these 21 days of “White Spaces.”
thank you for meeting together in the stories of the book, journeying together.
Recently finished reading your book… LOVE IT !!! You and I share similar pasts as well as the same first name. You began to look to God and others for help at an earlier age… I am just beginning the journey of healing the past… I had just kept pushing it back and was FROZEN… barely surviving… breaking all over the places… leaving broken pieces of me everywhere I went… and now I am allowing God to start the healing… amidst the PTSD and panic attacks and medicine that does not always work … so much is messy now… but you have given me back my hope. Thank you.
keep being courageous, Bonnie!… meeting with Jesus in the places that are dear to Him in you.

I am really enjoying your book, even though I read through tears. There are some things that I have been repressing and it is coming to the surface. I am glad that it is healing and not condemnation that is waiting for me. Thank you for writing this book, even when you thought you couldn’t God gave you the strength to finish it. This book has been a blessing and I praise God for you. Thank you again.
you are so loved & my heart smiles knowing that through the tears where God is touching you. i’m so blessed i can have kindreds for this journey here. we don’t have to journey alone. you are brave & beautiful, Cynthia.
You have a wonderful way of encouraging us!!!
I’ve been trying (“fighting”) to stay strong far too long!!
I’ve done this before but somehow I get caught up in trying instead of trusting.
I haven’t bought your book yet but I intend to! Thank you.
Love you friend. Invite Jesus in friend to friend… I will try.
Wow – i love this – Lisa Lewis let me know and I’ll let my WH readers know as well. I love what Walt Gerber said, “The main responsibility of a Christian is yieldedness.” Another word for rest. I need whitespace. Thanks for the invite.
Loving this journey & truly honored to walk it with you! Much Love! ♥
I was going to read your words straight through, like a regular book. Not so. Each section has given me much to consider. God is allowing me no cheap answers, He wants to do so much more. And I thought I was all past that! Thank you so much for sharing your story, your journey, your heart.
I lingered too long in bed…again. Half awake, I reviewed the sleepless hours and the worries that had filled them…as I carefully shouldered each one to carry into the day. And as I reluctantly prepared to leave the house, I leaned hard on my husband and whispered “I am so tired”. Tears flowed as I opened my e-mail and read Holly Gerth’s post “Help When Your Life Feels too Busy”. God had heard my cry! And better yet, He was inviting me to follow Him to a place of comfort, help and healing. I’m still anxious and tired, but now my heart is beating with hope and anticipation. THANK YOU.
