I’m so excited and happy to share this video for our Spiritual Whitepace Book Club with you today.
It is hot off the presses, created just this weekend.
This heart-touching video was recorded with three women who didn’t know each other just a year ago. I invited them (along with a fourth) to come to my house once a week at night to read the book Finding Spiritual Whitespace and share their discoveries — before the book was published.
I had to find out if this journey of rest was really as powerful for others, as it was for me. To see if the journaling prompts in each chapter would actually bring real life change and inspire new rhythms in our relationship with God and each other.
Random No More
Like Gideon who put out a fleece to ask God to drench it wet with the ground around it dust dry — I told God, “Steady my heart. Let me know you’re in this. Show me you are personally speaking to others through this book.”
I invited the women to a “beta” Spiritual Whitespace Group. I didn’t know two of the women myself, so I thought it would be a really good way to proof the material.
Would a random group of women who didn’t know each other really share their stories and connect deeply — simply through reading together?
The my surprise, the “fleece” was soaked wet. Drenched with heart-connections, stories and life-refreshing discoveries for everyone.
I didn’t have to work hard at all to “lead” the group. The book club was self led. The questions provided at the end of each chapter prompted conversation to flow easily and naturally.
It was just a casual gathering, with no homework (everyone nearly clapped with happiness to hear that!), other than reading two chapters a week and journaling.
Our Whitespace Book Club became a beautiful rich, soulful time of relaxing and connecting. For everyone. Now, it’s our turn!
You & Me. Two Things to Get Ready!
Although I can’t replicate the power of an in-person gathering, I’m creating an online devotional version of the experience.
Next Thursday 1/22/15, I’m kicking off the Spiritual Whitespace {Face}Book Club!
Just like my Facebook Page and you’ll be able to join in. Free.
Get ready. Two things you’ll need:
2. Get a special journal for journaling questions in each chapter.
Know a friend who can benefit starting the new year soul refreshed? Share and invite them! The more people sharing & participating, the more fun and meaningful!
By the way, if you host an in-person gathering, get an exclusive Spiritual Whitespace Small Groups Guide (currently offered free) & other resources. Sign-up at http://bit.ly/bookclubhost
(Book club hosters, thanks for signing up. I’m sending you an email with goodies today, sweet kindreds!) So excited for us. The journey begins! #soulrestbookclub

Bonnie, I’m so proud if you! What a treasure you are and honor you bring to God. When we met so many years ago I had no idea all that God would do through you! Good job being obedient and faithful my sweet sister in Christ!
A little excited, a little overwhelmed…I’ve received so many invitations to devotionals, book clubs, etc. I am letting God bring to the fore what He wants me to do. Spiritual whitespace is truly a necessity and the art of creating it is lacking…so here I am!
