a beautiful thing is happening… your heart is awakening…
I found a letter. It was left in the quiet places of my heart, whispered in the most tender Voice.
A love note from God. As I listened to His words, I realized they weren’t just for me. They are meant for you too.
Today, as we step into February, I want to share two gifts from my heart — along with God’s love note — left on the doorstep of your Sunday morning. Just for you.
These gifts are beautifully hand-crafted and created by a friend in our Faith Barista community: artist and photographer Kelly Ishmael of mindingmynest.
These two gifts were created to inspire you — to prioritize nurturing the one thing God longs to love this month of February: you.
Dear You,
I want you to know. You’ll never be unloved.
You’ll never face a lonely night alone again. Because I will be there.
I always have. And it breaks my heart in a thousand pieces for all the times I couldn’t take you away from all that has broken your heart, made you cry and caused you pain.
I’ve collected all your tears in a bottle and I hold all your sorrows, so that you can be loved anew again.
I wish you could look into my eyes and see how much I love you, from the very beginning, as I gently and beautifully made you — deep within. How I traced every part of myself onto your heart and hid it as treasure inside your soul. So that no matter what the journey through this life would take you through — your heart would always be next to mine.
My love makes you beloved. My beloved.
Will you make some space in your moments. In your days — to let me in?
Will you let me love you?
I want you to come close — closer than you’ve ever been before. Don’t be afraid. I long to be with you. As is. Your heart is my home.
I love you. Simply. Truly.
Meet me in the quiet. Be the beloved. Just rest.
Forever Yours… Jesus

Dear Bonnie,
Your book was such a source of inspiration for me…I connected with it on so many levels. My art has been such a long journey…four years ago, my daughter, my only child, was getting ready to graduate from high school.
In the months leading up to and right after we dropped her off at university, I struggled so much with the basic questions in life like who am I? What is my purpose? My empty nest hit hard.
I so totally know those empty, barren, desolate places. And I also know that’s where Jesus met me and healed those broken parts of me.
That’s why it is such an honor for me to be able to share my art with you. Because really, to me, my art has been a true gift from God. And it is so very gratifying to be able to give it back to him in this way.

[…] but then something even more amazing happened. bonnie clicked through the link on my instagram profile and found my blog. she reached out to me and asked me if she could share my desktop calendars with her community. and also, she asked me – bonnie asked me – if i would like to create a hand-lettered printable for her bookclub. Thanks, Bonnie. It is so sweet of you to share these gifts with us kindreds. You are a blessing. What a great way to start off the Love Month. Love in Christ always, Lisa
It’s really beautiful! Love it. Images speak so deeply to me too…it’s why I love snapping pictures. It’s just too much of a pity to gloss over the beauty in our everyday lives… 🙂 one of my fav soul-nourishing moments is to watch the sun setting at the harbour. It would be breezy and {usually} quiet…and I can just soak in the colors, and enjoy my date with God.
Such a precious love letter! Thank you, Bonnie.
Thank you, Bonnie, for the beautiful letter, the calendar, and the list of ideas to soak in love!
Thanks so much for sharing this Bonnie. I recently read your book as I’m in a season of working through depression and anxiety. This last week has been especially hard, so today I decided to take a day off to rest. Any work or stressful things that come up are getting put on a list to be dealt with later this week. My “to-do” list for the day consisted of many of the things on your list for February. Thanks for that, and I’m gonna try to do at least one of those a day for the next month.
Bonnie
I am enjoying the study so much and though I was at first afraid to read about your trauma it has allowed me to write about mine. I can never repay you for the blessing you are in my life.

Dear Bonnie,
I just had to share this somewhere with you and the kindreds in Christ. I was alerted to a lovely Bible verse recently that really encouraged me and helped me to further rest in Him as I have been journeying along with you, God’s Book and your book:
But now the LORD my God has given me rest on every side; there is neither adversary nor misfortune. ~ 1Kings 5:4
What a promise! It pertains to when God have King Solomon peace and safety so he could build a Temple for the LORD that his father only dreamed about. I sure hope it speaks to you and other kindreds’ hearts this Valentine’s month.

Bonnie this is so beautiful and what my soul longs for. In my journey to find spiritual Whitespace I’m learning I’m afraid. I’m afraid to trust that I can be his beloved. I so desparately need a Father who loves me for me. I grew up being threatened to be sent away if I couldn’t act like my sister, so I find it so very difficult to accept and believe in my soul that I am loveable.
This morning when I was praying and crying out to God I realized more thsn ever how much I need His rest.
Your honesty and authenticity in your videos, Facebook messages and emails are so inspiring .
You are the sister I want to emulate.
I’m picking up the mat that says I’m not loveable for me. I need courage and prayesrs for this journey … I’m gonna do this !!!!
