When you feel too tired to pray, Jesus whispers – Lean in. Just let me love you. You’re worth it. Choose rest. In Deuteronomy 33:12, we find a beautiful blessing –
“Let the beloved of the Lord rest secure in him, for he shields him all day long, and the one the Lord loves rests between his shoulders.” Deut 33:12
Henri Nouwen once said that, “Joy is the experience of knowing that you are unconditionally loved. It’s openness. To pray is to listen to the One who calls you “my beloved.”
Today, I invite you listen to an intimate Whispers of Rest Prayer Podcast with beautiful music and scripture reflection.

Dear Jesus,
You see my friend, right where she’s at on her journey.
She doesn’t have to whisper a word
and you are lovingly interceding on her behalf.
You are praying for her.
Whatever hesitation she may feel
cannot keep your love from her.
Nothing can separate her from your love.
You shall never be parted from her.
And she will never be parted from you.
Love my friend now, as she takes time to listen
to today’s prayer podcast
and simply let her rest in your embrace.
Touch and renew her, fresh and new
as she listens and opens her heart to receive your love.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

We all want to feel loved. On our earthly journey there may be times when we have not felt loved. I know I have had those moments. To know that God the Father and his son Jesus LOVE ME AND CALL ME BELOVED DAUGHTER, is joyful and peaceful to me. It does give me rest. I know that one of my favorite praise songs I am currently singing in my studio is called, Not For A Moment. The lyrics remind me HE is by my side every moment and reaching for me through all the storms of life as He does with everyone of us. He is always there and never will forsake us. This journey with Whispers of Rest led by Bonnie is a BLESSING to me and I am sure everyone.Marsha.
dear marsha, thank you for sharing how prayer podcast #2 touched your heart! what beautiful whispers you heard. I hope you enjoyed prayer podcast #3 and #4 — and also #5 is coming tomorrow! blessings!
I have struggled with self image issues since I was a teen. You would think at age 53 I would have it figured out, but no, I am inundated the quiet whispers of the enemy…you are fat, out of shape, if you only looked more toned you’d feel better…i have kept these to myself because when I try to ask for help people just insinuate it’s silly, you look good or something that minimizes the depth of my hurt and struggle. These struggles have now turned into physical pain…knees, hips, back. I just want feel healthy, strong and content in the Lord. I am tired. I need energy especially in my career as an elementary school principal.
